Welcome to the Wild Atlantic Way

Cork to Galway

The Wild Atlantic Way is Ireland's legendary epic tour. Quiet meandering coastal roads, epic natural surroundings, and the right kind of fiddlers in pubs, this trip has it all.

True to Brake the Cycle form we've taken this classic route and added our own sustainability infused twist. By day we'll be taking in the best the wild west has to offer; from the stunning Cliffs of Mohner, to freewheeling through the Gap of Dunloe. By night we'll be nesting down in rural eco-lodges and farm-stays, with a day off at Ireland's only ecovillage. Powered by organic food and surrounded by like-minded folk, get set to challenge your body and expand your mind.

Whether your a seasoned cyclist or just 'adventure curious', join us as we journey west, to the land of legends and leprechauns, as we ask ourselves what exactly IS the craic!?

Your words, not ours...

A last minute decision to take part in the LEJOG led to one of the best cycling experiences I've ever had, and I've done a lot of rides.
The team were exceptional, my fellow riders were awesome, the routes were perfect, and the places we visited were amazing.
A transformational experience which I can't recommend highly enough.
Chapeau BTC!

It’s the UK’s most challenging bike ride, and at any given time there may be hundreds of people attempting it. At Brake the Cycle we have our own twist on this classic ride, an approach that we believe makes it much more than just a bicycle tour.
